4) Comfortable fit. You will probably want to try on a few units before making a final decision. If you purchase online (sometimes the best option in terms of getting the lowest prices), make sure you can return the model if it does not fit properly.

5) Affordable price. Do some price comparison shopping online before making your final selection.  You should be able to find a quality backpack vacuum cleaner for under $300, and possibly much cheaper.
